Rás na hÉireann 2012 took place on February 12th at Oldbridge, Drogheda, with Coca Cola and Athletics Ireland as sponsors. Winner of the Larry Mc Guill Cup for winner of Rás na hÉireann was Landon Peacock USA.

The Rás na hÉireann was of particular importance this year in the athletics calendar. Dunleer Athletic Club celebrated the life of Larry Mc Guill, who sadly passed away during the summer of 2011. Rás 2012 was called the Larry Mc Guill Rás na hÉireann in Larry's honour and the race was once again linked with the Armagh International Road Race. Details of Armagh race here on www.rasnaheireann.com
